7.4 Release Notes for CDS 1.32

 
This page contains an overview of all the new features that have been implemented for the new version 1.32 of the Trader Portal User Interface.

Disclaimer: The main update in CDS 1.32 was to deploy GUM. To that end, the structure of the CGU Application and Authorisation specific information is updated to a new GUM compliant format. Consequently, the guarantee structure is also aligned to fit with the new GUM format in other customs decision types (CW, EUS, TEA, IPO, OPO, TST and DPO).
Mind that the already existing Authorisations are not automatically updated to the new format. To update them to the new format, it is needed to start a new amendment of the Authorisation. Note that the prefilling for CGU might not be perfect and should be verified by the Customs Officer.

7.4.1 Business Changes

  • The system now ensures that the implemented adjustments match with the approved adjustments on the Adjustments Notification Page.
Suspension
  • The “Comment on Result Check Conditions for Suspension" information is now sent in the "End Suspension Notification".
Communication
  • New process: The Trader is now able to request information to the DTCA at anytime for an Authorisation with the status "Pending", "Active" or "Suspended". The DTCA will have up to 45 days to answer to the Trader's request.
Other
  • The specific information structure of CGU Applications / Authorisations is updated to fit with the new GUM compliant format (CGU);
  • The "Guarantee" structure is updated to fit with the new GUM compliant format (CW, EUS, TEA, IPO, OPO, TST and DPO);
  • The format of the fields “Time Limit for Submission of a Supplementary Declaration (days)” (SDE) and “Time Limit for Submitting the Particulars of the Complete Customs Declaration (days)” (EIR) are updated from n..2 to n..3. A constraint is also added to ensure that the entered value is not greater than 2 years;
  • The constraint on the field "Guarantee" is updated to always allow the user to enter some information. Note that in some cases, the user must fill in some information (IPO/OPO);
  • The constraint on the field "Average Period Between Placing Under and Discharge of the Procedure" is updated to ensure that the data group is only filled in the Application when the selected customs procedure is a procedure involving potential customs debt (special procedures or Temporary Storage Facility) and is forbidden in the Authorisation.
  • A new constraint is added on the data group "Records" to ensure that it must be filled in for CW1 / CWP and cannot be filled in for CW2 (CW);
  • A customs representative with partial delegation now only has access to the Applications / Authorisations in which the CR is involved. Note that the partial delegation mechanism is configurable and disabled until CRS is able to manage amendments in the future.
 

7.4.2 New Features

Specific for GUM (CGU)
  • A new field "Currency to Be Used" is created to indicate the currency of all amount fields;
  • A new "Compute" button is added on "Total Reference Amount" and "Amount to be Guaranteed" fields;
  • The "Reference Amount for Concerned Customs Procedure" information is dynamically displayed based on the selected "Customs Procedure Concerned";
  • The "Reference Amount for Concerned Customs Procedure per MS" information is only displayed if the selected "Customs Procedure Concerned" is different than code "80" and it is for a multi MS decision;
  • In the code list "Time Limit for Payment", only the code list description values are displayed, not their codes.
 

7.4.3 Other Features

 
  • Various labels have been updated to be more explicit for the user;
  • Pop-up notifications and confirmation modals have been added (or updated) to better indicate the impact of the actions or the expected next actions;
  • Several user interface changes have been implemented to improve the user-friendliness of the system;
  • The tooltips and the visibility of the View Application/Authorisation Pages are improved.
 

7.4.4 Technical Changes

 
Technical fixes and (security) improvements are also included in version 1.32.
